Proof Test Operative

As a Proof Test Operative, you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of processes, including pyro proofing of pyrotechnic devices, identification of Proof Chamber Parts to drawing, assembly and disassembly of Chambers assemblies, cleaning of Chambers and detail components, and setting up appropriate firing mechanisms. You will also be tasked with loading, arming, and firing Cartridge/Rocket Motors, as well as collecting and analysing firing data.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings and a meticulous attention to detail. You will need to be comfortable working under time pressure to balance priorities and meet agreed deadlines.

The ideal Proof Test Operative candidate will have a good standard of education with strong GCSE grades, as well as experience in health and safety policies and procedures. You should be a team player with the ability to work independently, and possess a "completer finisher" mindset, ensuring that every task is completed with no loose ends.
