Our client is a specialist precision manufacturer supplying into all the core engineering industries such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Transport and bespoke solutions. Due to growth and new long-term bids being won, they are in need of a CNC Setter Operator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a CNC Milling background (including machinery setup) and main controls used will be Fanuc & Mazatrol however, If you are skilled in different machinery or controls please still apply as controls & machinery conversion can be done as long as they find the right team player for the role.

Candidate background needed.

  • Previous experience as a CNC Setter Operator in milling
  • Fanuc or Mazatrol control experience preferred but others welcome
  • Ability to multitasked setting up other machines when main station is running.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Proficient in materials handling and working with hand tools.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling and milling, etc.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to determine machine setup and specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
