About the Role:We are currently seeking experienced CNC Turner or Milling Setter Operators to join a well-established precision engineering company based near Chard Junction. This is a permanent, full-time role offering competitive pay and stable day shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC turning or milling machines

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Monitor production and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency

  • Perform in-process checks using measuring equipment

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of machines and work area

  • Work to tight tolerances and inspect finished components for accuracy

Requirements:

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC turning or milling machines

  • Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools

  • Experience with Mazak or Fanuc controls is highly desirable

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Knowledge of workshop health and safety standards
