Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)! Urgently required! Temp – 12 Month Contract

Location: Chard
Hours: 39 hours/week (days) or 37.5 hours/week (shift rotation)
Salary: £40,000 + Overtime Opportunities

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to join our clients dynamic Production Engineering team. You’ll play a key role in keeping cutting-edge manufacturing equipment in peak condition, helping maintain top performance and ensure product excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

Troubleshooting and resolving equipment faults to minimise downtime
Carrying out preventative maintenance and continuous improvement tasks
Supporting machinery upgrades and installations
Championing Health & Safety practices and environmental policies
Taking ownership of quality and performance improvements across production equipment

What You’ll Need

Essential:

Time-served/qualified electrician with hands-on experience
Strong mechanical skills with an electrical focus
ONC or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

Desirable:

Electro-mechanical apprenticeship
PLC programming knowledge
Experience with pneumatics/hydraulics
Automotive sector experience
Driving licence
