An exciting opportunity to join a leading Kent based Housing Association as a Finance Business Partner.

Description

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, this role primary focuses on bridging the gap between finance and operational teams, providing strategic insights and financial analysis to support decision-making and business performance. You will work on various areas including consolidation of accounts, management accounts, financial analysis, and reporting and supporting with value for money initiatives. You will work closely with senior leadership, and operational teams to identify, investigate and implement remedial action to address issues impacting on financial and business performance.

  • To lead in a VFM programme of cost/business reviews which delivers meaningful, timely and relevant financial business analysis. Provide professional support and expertise to others to develop and implement targets that link all cost decisions to outcomes.
  • Providing support to Managers on all aspects of budgeting, financial performance reporting, forecasting, financial business analysis, VfM, and benchmarking for support services, housing team and Asset management.
  • Your key responsibilities will be to prepare timely monthly and quarterly management information, advise on project costs and variances to budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and to challenge business assumptions in forecasting and planning.
  • You will pull the balance sheet and I&E together both at entity and consolidated level, ensuring commentary is provided for all variances by the finance business partners and Fixed asset team.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to provide strategic advice.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting in the preparation of statutory accounts and experience of dealing with audit queries at year end.
  • Carrying out tasks and projects as allocated to the finance department.

Profile

  • Ability to look after all aspects of management accounting
  • The ability and confidence to present complex financial information to non-financial staff members
  • The ability to show initiative & problem solve, presenting solutions rather than just identifying problems
  • You will have excellent IT skills including an in-depth understanding of accounting systems and Management Information.
  • You will be a personable creative thinker who is able to build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels.

  • This ideal candidate would be suitable for someone who is ACCA or CIMA Qualified or QBE
