Workshop Engineer

20 - 22 per hour (OTE 60k+) + Static Role + Overtime + Training + Benefits

Chatham (Commutable from: Gillingham, Hempstead, Gravesend, Sittingbourne, Aylesford or surrounding areas)

The company operates a large, modern fleet of HGVs and heavy plant equipment used across multiple sites nationwide. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of the fleet through inspections, servicing, and repairs.

This is a static, workshop-based position offering variety, technical growth, and excellent earning potential through regular overtime and additional training opportunities.

The Role

  • Static workshop position
  • Maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy mechanical equipment (HGVs, plant, or agricultural machinery)

  • Rotating shift pattern: 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

The Candidate

  • Background in heavy mechanical engineering (HGVs, plant, or agricultural machinery)
  • Relevant qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) desirable
  • Looking for stability, technical development, and the chance to earn through overtime
