We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Teacher for a long-term temp to perm position, with the potential of an additional responsibility of Second in Charge (2iC) of the Science Department for the right candidate, in a thriving secondary school based in Chatham starting ASAP.
Working with TailorEDucation, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality Physics lessons across KS3, KS4, and up to A-Level, while supporting the leadership and development of the wider science team.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inspiring Physics lessons, assessing pupil progress, maintaining a positive and purposeful classroom environment, and taking on key departmental leadership duties to support the Head of Science. The successful candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have proven experience teaching Physics in UK secondary schools, including at A-Level, along with the capability to contribute strategically to departmental improvement.

The ideal candidate will have:
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience delivering Physics up to A-Level
• Experience or readiness for middle leadership responsibilities, such as 2iC
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physics education
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A commitment to supporting young people’s academic development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working within a UK secondary school setting
