This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive service that is passionate about child-centred, 'Child First' approaches aimed at reducing reoffending and improving outcomes for children.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with children in the Youth Justice System, delivering face-to-face interventions and positive activities.
  • Manage a mixed caseload of children subject to Out of Court Disposals, Prevention (Turnaround) referrals, and post-court cases.
  • Deliver reparation activities, Intensive Supervision and Surveillance Programs, and other bespoke projects developed by the Youth Justice Team.
  • Complete assessments, risk management plans, and provide targeted interventions to prevent offending and reduce risk of harm.
  • Work flexibly across Out of Court Disposals and Prevention cases, supporting children at the earliest stage of involvement with Youth Justice.
About You:
  • Previous experience working within a Local Authority Youth Justice Service is essential.
  • Passionate about working with children and committed to bringing about positive change in their lives.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance (including carrying passengers) desirable but not essential.
  • Must have an enhanced, in-date DBS at interview stage.
