My client are a vibrant, forward-thinking, and driven building contractor. They have established themselves as a reputable entity, specialising in a comprehensive range of building and refurbishment contracts for both public and private clients.

Operating across a wide range of sectors including Leisure, Housing, Industrial, Commercial, Retail, and Education, they offer a professional approach throughout every phase of the project, from design and pre-construction to construction and aftercare.

Due to sustained growth, they are recruiting for an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Responsible for the production of tenders, budget estimates and cost plans.
  • Review of bid documents, drawings, specifications, and other reports applying a good understanding of all components of a tender submission.
  • Identify any financial, design, production, and contractual risks/opportunities.
  • Measure quantities and produce Bills of Quantities and/or oversee their production by others.
  • Ensures enquiries are issued and quotations received from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Write and manage the tender costing process for the project
  • Analyse tender returns and make recommendations for the appointment of main/sub-contractors and specialist suppliers
  • Set up and manage cost reports
  • Assist in the procurement of direct supply items.
  • Carry out monthly valuations
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to control project costs
