Mechanical Design Engineer - Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement value-added product designs, ensuring all upgrades meet reliability, functionality, and technical specifications

- Review application requirements and provide tailored recommendations, maintaining real-time communication to resolve design challenges

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead engineering efforts across global teams, supporting design, validation, and customer-facing engineering interactions

- Create 3D models using SolidWorks, conduct finite element analysis, and validate concepts through prototypes and testing

- Oversee design tasks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, including DV/PV planning and execution

- Conduct benchmarking, tear-down analysis, and apply lessons learned to develop design building blocks and optimize new technologies

Mechanical Design Engineer - You:

Essential:

- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK

- A BA or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

- Proven experience working with electrical, electronic, and mechanical components, including product design and assemblies

- Experience working within a structured new product development process, including design reviews, tollgates, peer reviews, and customer approvals

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and support business development

- Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Desirable:

- Ideally, a minimum of 10 years’ engineering experience within product development, custom product engineering, and application engineering

- Familiarity with APQP processes, including DFMEA and Control Plans
