Lighthouse Executive are delighted to be partnering with this forward thinking, Accountancy practise located in Essex to hire a newly created position, a Client Account Manager. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and skills, working with multiple client accounts and providing senior expertise within the team.

The company is on a growth trajectory and this role offers the chance to play a pivotal role in their success as a business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients from various sectors.
  • Compiling and evaluating financial statements and tax returns.
  • Collaborating with internal team members to manage bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll services.
  • Cultivating and sustaining strong client relationships, offering guidance and support.
  • Assessing client requirements and providing value-added services and recommendations.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and deadlines.
  • Communicating with HMRC and other external organisations on behalf of clients.
  • Mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work as needed.

Skills, experience and qualifications required include:

  • Experience operating in a senior accounting role in an accountancy practice.
  • Fully qualified ACCA or ACA.
  • Proven experience in client account management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge in general practice accountancy.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • A proactive attitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
