Role responsibilities
- Preparing year-end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts prepared by junior staff
- Providing insightful financial commentary and business advice to clients
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and HMRC requirements
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a main point of contact
- Supporting team development through mentoring and reviewing junior staff work
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow preparation as required

Candidate requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience in practice
- Confident preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns
- Experience managing client relationships and offering commercial advice
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused mindset
- Comfortable supervising junior staff and supporting their development
