Title: Graduate Finance Assistant

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: 22,500

Days/ Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

A well established and professional company based in Chelmsford are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support their growing finance team. You will be based in their head office working on a broad range of accounts tasks. You will need be forward thinking, proactive and great with numbers. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their next steps in their career.

Duties

Daily export and processing of claims data

Handling daily banking activity for claims bank accounts and record incoming cash in the accounting systems

Assistance with credit control and escalating aged debt

Conduct weekly/monthly bank reconciliations

Preparation of monthly claims bordereaux

First point of liaison for claims payments related queries - communication by phone and email

Reviewing and setting up daily claims payment runs

Arranging same day claims payments as and when required

Other office administration duties as and when required

The ideal candidate

Educated to degree level

Good excel knowledge

Strong communication skills

High level of attention to detail

Ability to multitask

Great team working skills
