NonStop Care is working with one of the most reputable local councils in the Essex area in order to help them find a SEND Senior Specialist (Lead), this person has one of the most senior specialist SEND roles within the council with delegated responsibilities of the Head of SEND Assessment, Access and Inclusion for the SEND Statutory duties.

This role is predominately working from office (minimum 3 days a week). There is a possibility of hybrid working 2 days per week.

Responsibilities of the SEND Senior Specialist:

  • Providing strategic leadership and operational management of Statutory SEND Assessment and Review service
  • Acting as strategic lead for external inspections
  • Acting as strategic lead for any safeguarding case reviews, and leading on embedding best practice
  • Managing the end-to-end SEND tribunal process - lead and oversee the representation of the Council at SEND Tribunal

Requirements:

Must have in-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory frameworks,

Must have SEND Casework and SEND legal processes.

Must have leadership experience
