Architectural Technician

Location: Essex

Salary: 28-35,000

A progressive and expanding architectural studio in Essex is looking for a motivated and skilled Architectural Technician to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a practice during an exciting period of growth and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality residential projects. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, passionate about architecture and construction, and eager to further develop their skills within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. A full, clean driving licence and access to a car are required for this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Attend site visits and client meetings to support project delivery

  • Produce technical and 3D drawings for planning submissions

  • Prepare technical packages for Building Regulations approval

  • Coordinate information with external consultants

  • Support the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously

  • Assist with project administration and general office duties

  • Represent the practice at networking and industry events when required

Candidate requirements:

  • Degree, HND, or equivalent in Architectural Technology or a related field

  • Full, clean driving licence and access to a car

  • Experience working on UK residential projects

  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction methods

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D software such as SketchUp

  • Good understanding of the UK planning process

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Proactive, able to work independently as well as part of a team
