Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working exclusively with an award winning Tier 1 Main Contractor who have a secure forward order book and busy portfolio on projects on site. The business is looking to grow their long standing commercial leadership team, who have a new and unique opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their regional business.

The leadership team have over 20years+ employment with the business and a good deal of their surveyors have been with the business for many years.


The company are looking for a candidate that has experience managing a high performing team and ensuring that commercial strategy is applied and successfully delivered across multiple projects.

This position holds a key place in the senior leadership team within the business and offers a unique opportunity for the local area.

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a team of Managing Quantity Surveyors and senior commercial staff, with the overall responsibility for the commercial function and strategy across multiple projects.

Provide insight and involvement across all phases of the project life-cyle.

Motivate and support the commercial team to maximise effectiveness and set a culture of high support.

Report at a senior level to directors and help build the team and overall growth of the region.

Desirable Experience:

- Minimum 10 years experience in the Quantity Surveying profession, having previously undertaken a Commercial Manager or Managing Quantity Surveyor position.
- Good leadership qualities in addition to excellent communication skills.
- Experience working on 2-stage projects would be advantageous.
- Previous Roles: Commercial Manager OR Managing QS OR Commercial Lead OR Commercial Director OR Divisional Commercial Manager OR Regional Commercial Manager.

Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification.
