CNC Turner - Day & Night Shifts Available
Location: Chelmsford
A long-established and highly respected precision engineering company based in Chelmsford is expanding its team due to continued growth and increased demand. Specialising in CNC-machined components for the aerospace and defence sectors, they are now seeking experienced CNC Turners to join their skilled workforce, with both day and night shifts available.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components
Accurately interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints
Select tooling and optimise setups for one-off and small batch production
Carry out detailed quality inspections to ensure all parts meet strict tolerances
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimise downtime
Work collaboratively within the production team to meet targets and maintain high standards of health and safety
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering or similar environment
Confident with programming and operating CNC turning machines (Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls)
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks in a fast-paced setting
