CNC Turner - Day & Night Shifts Available
Location: Chelmsford

A long-established and highly respected precision engineering company based in Chelmsford is expanding its team due to continued growth and increased demand. Specialising in CNC-machined components for the aerospace and defence sectors, they are now seeking experienced CNC Turners to join their skilled workforce, with both day and night shifts available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components

  • Accurately interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints

  • Select tooling and optimise setups for one-off and small batch production

  • Carry out detailed quality inspections to ensure all parts meet strict tolerances

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimise downtime

  • Work collaboratively within the production team to meet targets and maintain high standards of health and safety

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering or similar environment

  • Confident with programming and operating CNC turning machines (Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls)

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks in a fast-paced setting
