Specialising in CNC-machined components for the aerospace and defence sectors, the company is seeking experienced CNC Turners to join its skilled team. Opportunities are available for both day and night shifts.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high-precision components. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in precision engineering who are confident in interpreting complex engineering drawings and delivering work to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines
Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings and blueprints
Select tooling and set up machines for one-off and small batch production
Conduct quality inspections to ensure components meet strict specifications
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues
Collaborate effectively with the production team to meet output targets
Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment
Skilled in using CNC machines with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and manage workloads in a fast-paced environment
