Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Junior CAD Technician to support our busy Mechanical Design Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience working on a variety of mechanical projects, with career growth, training, and development available.
This hybrid role will involve working from our Chelmsford office at least three days a week, with the option to work from home the remaining two days.
Key Responsibilities;
- Assist in the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and layouts from specifications and sketches.
- Create 2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with requirements.
- Upload documentation and drawings to our project management systems.
- Conduct site surveys and produce mechanical record drawings.
- Review and verify drawing compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date technical project documentation.
What We're Looking For;
- Previous experience as a CAD Technician in a mechanical engineering, fabrication, or machining environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a hands-on approach.
