As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in fostering positive behaviour and creating a supportive atmosphere for students. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement strategies, interventions, and support plans to address challenging behavior and promote a positive learning environment.

Position: Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant
Location: Chelmsford
Salary Scale: £80-£115 per day (Depending on experience) 
Contract Type: Full-time
 

Responsibilities:

  • As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant you will provide targeted support to students to address challenging behaviour.
  • Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans.
  • As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant you will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional development.
  • As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant you will contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour initiatives.
  • Provide feedback to teachers and parents on the progress of behaviour support plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
  • As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant you will have empathy and a genuine passion for promoting positive behavior in students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant you will have the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant behaviour management strategies and interventions.
