Electrical Design Engineer - About the role
My client work within a range of industry sectors, including the Oil and Gas, Renewables and Defence sectors and they are actively recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in their new satellite office in Essex.
The successful candidate will be working within a team of international co-workers with extensive experience of fuel and gas product solutions including some automation products.
Electrical Design Engineer - Key duties
Working with the project and sales teams.
Responsible for electrical design of process systems, including creating Wiring Diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings for electrical controls on process systems.
Creating Electrical data sheets for project specific components.
Attending in person and online design review meetings with clients.
Assisting with the procurement of project specific components.
Electrical Design Engineer - Key requirements
A self-motivated person with experience in ATEX control systems as well as the ability to be able to plan and multitask. An eye for detail is also must. The individual will have great communication skills when dealing directly with the customers daily and works well within a team of multi-national co-workers.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Experience in Pump Control Systems.
- COMPEX certified in design is preferred but not critical.
- Eye for detail in preparing drawings.
- Ability to be able to understand and implement client comments with precision.
- Very experienced with AutoCAD, MS Office, Internet and Emails.
- Experience in Oil and Gas sector is preferred but not essential.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar field.
