Processing Operator - Cleanroom Manufacturing

Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Patterns: Alternating shift pattern - Earlies and Lates

A leading global technology company is seeking a Processing Operator to join its advanced manufacturing team. This organisation develops specialised components and subsystems used in cutting-edge applications across medical, scientific, aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors.

About the Role

As a Processing Operator, you will be responsible for producing high-performance imaging devices. This role is based in a cleanroom environment and requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor processing equipment with accuracy
  • Maintain detailed production records and report progress to supervisors
  • Perform inspections using microscopes
  • Handle chemicals safely as part of specific manufacturing processes
  • Ensure timely output of devices while meeting quality and safety standards

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to multitask in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
  • Willingness to work alternating shifts:
    • Week 1: 06:00-14:00 (Mon-Thu), 06:00-13:30 (Fri)
    • Week 2: 13:30-21:30 (Mon-Thu), 13:30-21:00 (Fri)
    • Day Shifts (optional):
    • 07:30-15:30 (Mon-Thu), 07:30-14:45 (Fri)
