We're partnering with a leading UK infrastructure contractor known for delivering high-impact projects across transport, energy, and the built environment. They’re on the lookout for a passionate Environment & Sustainability Advisor to champion carbon reduction, drive environmental excellence, and embed sustainability into every layer of their operations.

This is a hands-on, purpose-driven role where your insights will directly influence project outcomes, client relationships, and long-term environmental performance.

�? What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the implementation of carbon reduction strategies across diverse infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on environmental performance—turning data into action.
  • Present sustainability metrics (carbon footprint, waste stats, etc.) in client and stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop and deliver engaging sustainability training and internal policies.
  • Support audits and certifications (ISO 14001, PAS 2080), and manage site inspections and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe and compliant waste management.
  • Oversee COSHH assessments and ensure alignment with environmental legislation.
  • Contribute to bid submissions and tender processes, adding sustainability value.
  • Support onboarding and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers.

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in environmental science, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in a similar advisory role.
  • Strong analytical skills, especially in Excel and data interpretation.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with environmental legislation in the construction sector.
  • Experience or certification in waste management.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and driving cultural change.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings.
