An Essex-based local authority is seeking a Housing Options Team Leader on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
The role:
Lead and manage a team of 5 Housing Options Officers
Oversee homelessness assessments, housing advice, and statutory duties
Provide guidance on complex cases and ensure consistent, high-quality service
Monitor team performance and drive service improvements
Office attendance required 2 days per week, with flexibility on other days
What you'll need:
Experience managing or supervising Housing Options Officers
Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation (Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)
Ability to handle complex housing cases and support frontline staff
