A growing family owned builders merchant are hiring for a Yard Supervisor to join their team
Hours: Monday - Friday (7am-5pm) & every other Saturday (7:30am-12:30pm)
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the yard area, building strong customer relationships and supporting staff with anything they need
- Supervise and oversee the Yard staff, ensuring the work is completed effectively: Serving customers, storing materials, keeping yard and building clean and tidy, following H&S proceedures
- Perform day to day people management tasks and appraisals
- Approve annual leave
- Assist the Yard Foreman with the general running of the yard
- Unloading, unpacking, checking and storing recieved goods
- Greet customers and help with what they need
- Retrive the goods for customer when needed
- Assist with Company stock taking
- general warehouse and yard duties if needed
- Report any accident
You will need to have experience working within a builders merchant with supervisory experience.
