As part of an exciting growth, One to One are proud to partner with a well-established and expanding logistics organisation looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. This newly created position will play a key role in leading all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable and proactive professional who enjoys a hands-on environment, can work independently, and is eager to take ownership of the role and drive it forward. To be considered for this role you must have a NEBOSH qualification and 3-5 years experience within a H&S or SHEQ.

Various shifts Monday-Saturday 40 hours per week

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor workplace health and safety risks, advising staff on how to minimise or eliminate hazards
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all H&S documentation in line with current legislation
  • Maintain full legal compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Provide H&S guidance and support during new build developments and as the business continues to expand
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety directives issued by Senior Management
  • Review and recommend improvements to administrative processes in collaboration with relevant managers
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and escalate any issues or delays to management as required
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and support ongoing environmental initiatives
  • Take ownership of personal development by actively expanding H&S knowledge and skills
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance across all company sites
  • Lead internal Health & Safety meetings and chair the H&S committee
  • Conduct H&S inductions for new employees and visitors
  • Collaborate regularly with HR, Transport, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to maintain consistent H&S standards

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a warehouse environment is essential
  • NEBOSH qualification essential
  • 3-5 years experience in a H&S or SHEQ management role
  • Fire and First aid certification desirable
  • Proven ability to create and implement H&S policies and procedures and lead environmental direction
  • Background in transport and logistics is highly advantageous
  • Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments
  • Conduct regular site inspections and investigations
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative reporting requirements, including RIDDOR
