The Organisation
An opportunity exists for a qualified and motivated individual to join a forward-thinking college as a Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This role involves delivering both practical and theoretical teaching across key areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, supporting learner development, and contributing to the overall quality of provision in the engineering curriculum.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Develop lesson plans that link theory to real-world applications.
- Provide personalised academic and pastoral support to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum.
- Contribute to student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
- A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- An assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Awareness of industry trends and curriculum issues.
- Experience in teaching within the Electrical / Electronic Engineering sector.
- Awareness of sector challenges affecting delivery.Benefits
