- Salary: £35,000 - £37,500 per annum (pro rata actual salary of £21,000 - £22,500)
- Hours:Â Part-time, approximately 21 hours per week (3 days per week)
This role is crucial in supporting managers and the wider organisation on all types of employment matters and HR projects. This role will commence late July / August 2025 for nine months with a possible view to extend for a further three months.
Job Purpose:
- Provide HR advice across a range of issues including employment law, recruitment, and HR administration.
- Support the HR team with matters.
- Engage in project development work, focusing on updating and developing new practices, policies, processes, and systems.
- Build effective working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with GDPR, employment law, and other regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional HR qualification (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or degree in Human Resource Management).
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience in a generalist HR role, providing advice on a wide range of employment matters.
- Ability to handle recruitment at an advisory level and provide comprehensive policy advice.
- Experience working in a small, high-functioning HR team.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Proficiency in MS Office and flexibility to travel within the diocese as needed.
