About the Role

We are seeking a Systems Configuration Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting operational and commercial functions. This role centres on configuring and maintaining forms, reports, document repositories, and user access within Teamleaf, a job management system. Teamleaf integrates via API with client systems and internal platforms such as Power BI and Microsoft Tenant applications, requiring ongoing monitoring and support.

You will work closely with third-party software providers, the internal IT team, and operational stakeholders to ensure systems remain accurate, reliable, and aligned with operational and financial reporting needs. Additionally, you will be the primary contact for system access and configuration requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and update system forms, workflows, and document repositories within Teamleaf.

  • Support operational and finance teams with accurate reporting of completed works, KPIs, and costs.

  • Maintain and monitor API integrations between Teamleaf, client systems, and internal reporting platforms.

  • Liaise with third-party software vendors to resolve system or connectivity issues promptly.

  • Provide support to site operatives with mobile app or system access issues, including occasional out-of-hours assistance for night operations.

  • Work with the IT team to ensure mobile devices and system access meet security and governance standards.

  • Collaborate with operational managers to ensure system data supports accurate commercial and performance reporting.

  • Act as the Rail Division point of contact for system access requests and client-facing system queries.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in IT, systems, or software support roles.

  • Strong understanding of business processes and data capture requirements.

  • Ability to translate operational needs into practical system configurations.

  • Confident in working with multiple stakeholders, including operational, commercial, and IT teams.

  • Willingness to provide flexible support to meet operational demands.

  • Experience in the rail is desirable
