Security Service Engineer – East London / Essex area

Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a passion for maintaining and servicing advanced security systems? We are a leading supplier of security solutions to residential and SME clients across London and the South East, recently recognized at the 2024 Security & Fire Excellence Awards for our Spy Academy Training Initiative.
We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join our team, providing top-quality servicing and maintenance of intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment and enjoys working across a variety of sites, including residential properties, schools, and small to medium commercial businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Service, maintain, and commission intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
 - 
Respond efficiently to multiple service calls per day, providing high-quality solutions to customers.
 - 
Ensure compliance with all current industry standards, including EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS4737, and BS8243.
 - 
Maintain emergency lighting and dual com monitoring systems.
 - 
Work safely at height and handle physically demanding tasks as required.
 
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- 
Extensive experience as a Service Engineer in intruder alarms, access control, and CCTV systems.
 - 
Knowledge of both IP & analogue CCTV, including basic networking skills.
 - 
Familiarity with conventional and wireless intruder alarm systems.
 - 
Working knowledge of major security panel brands and app-based systems.
 - 
Understanding of NSI codes of practice and current industry standards.
 
About You:
- 
Strong communication, time-management, and self-motivation skills.
 - 
Flexible and able to cover West London and RH/GU postcodes or East London and Essex, with willingness to cover other London areas.
 - 
Full manual UK driving license is essential.

Hours & Details:
- 
Standard hours: 7.75 hours onsite Monday – Friday, starting at 8:30 am.
 - 
On-call rota: 1 in 5 to 1 in 9 weeks, with competitive rates.
 - 
Role requires flexibility, physical fitness, and the ability to work safely at height.
 - 
NSSA Security Screening is required.
