Overview
Our client, a leading Forklift Dealer is looking for a dynamic and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and service to clients on-site. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that equipment is installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment at client locations, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored support.
- Document all service activities accurately in reports for internal tracking and client records.
- Provide training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance service delivery.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role in a technical environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- A valid driver's license is essential for travel to various client sites.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to fieldwork is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related field would be beneficial.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in ANY mechanical maintenance
- A full UK Driving license with no more than 6 points
