Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Essex
Salary: Up to 50,000 (depending on experience)

Are you an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading fit-out and refurbishment contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects across London and the South East.

You'll be working alongside a supportive commercial team on fast-paced, design-led schemes ranging from 500k to 5m, gaining hands-on exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle - from pre-construction through to final account.

The Role:

  • Supporting the Senior QS with day-to-day commercial management of multiple fit-out projects

  • Assisting with tendering, cost plans, valuations, and subcontractor management

  • Preparing and reviewing contract documentation and project budgets

  • Monitoring costs, variations, and ensuring projects remain financially on track

  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

About You:

  • 2+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role (fit-out or refurbishment preferred)

  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent attention to detail

  • Confident communicator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

  • Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress within a dynamic environment
