We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.
We're expanding and looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our clients friendly, high-performing team.
As a fire engineer you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and the client. .
Duties:
- Fire alarm Servicing and maintenance, reactive and repair and installation work
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults
- Carrying out company works as required and to desired standards
- Providing the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company
- Producing reporting on time and to agreed standards
- Adhering to the company's quality management system and recycle correctly and responsibly
- Experience in fire alarm maintenance, installations and repairs, preferably within the public sector
- FIA qualification is preferable but not essential
- A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials
- Current Trade Qualifications
- Good communication skills, both verbal & written
- IT literate
- A commitment to great customer service
Salary and benefits:
- Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE)
- 23 days holiday per year, and you can secure 1 extra day holiday per full year of service up to a cap of 25 days. From this allowance we will provide you the option to sell 3 days back to the company per year, or you can take 3 days into the next holiday year. Plus, statutory bank holidays (currently 8)
- Over and above the increased allowance, should either or both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on a weekday, you will not be required to work past midday, but will be paid a full day.

- All plant tools supplied for example drills, steps, ladders, testers
- We pay time and a half rate for evening and Saturday working hours.
- We pay double time for night-time, Sunday, and bank holiday working.
