Opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking stores assistant to start with this establisged engineering company. This position involves supporting the Goods-In Department with the receipt, inspection, storage, and reporting of production and consumable materials. Key Responsibilities:

  • Help with the receipt and booking of all deliveries for production components and consumables.
  • Safely operate a forklift to offload materials with ease.(training can be given)
  • Transport production components throughout the Goods-In area.
  • Cut, count, batch, and palletise incoming materials.
  • Relocate palletised goods to designated areas on-site.
  • Receive training to operate a computerised engraving machine for serialising metal tags.
  • Work closely with Goods-In staff to cover absences (training provided).
  • Assist in the calibration of equipment and learn necessary procedures (training provided).
  • Accurately log information using our ERP system (training provided).
  • Be flexible with working hours, including overtime and adjusted shifts as required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a stores / goods in or warehouse role.
  • Comfortable using computers, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy items in accordance with HSE guidelines.
  • Experience with materials handling equipment and a forklift licence is preferred, but we can provide training.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow within the role.
