A local authority in Essex is seeking a Housing Allocations Officer to join the busy team. This is a fast-paced frontline role that makes a real difference to people in need across the district.
In this role, you'll:
- Assess housing applications and maintain the Housing Register
- Liaise with agencies to verify information and determine priority
- Support applicants, including those at risk of homelessness
- Provide nominations to housing associations and respond to enquiries
What you'll bring:
- Experience in housing and knowledge of the Housing Act (Parts 6 & 7)
- Experience using Abritas
- Full driving licence and access to a car
- 3 days office presence
