Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant - Driver to join our team in Essex, East of England. This is a temporary position with full-time hours in the Education and Training industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as transporting them to and from educational facilities.

Job Duties:
  • Assist students with learning difficulties in their educational activities
  • Provide transportation services for students to and from their educational settings
  • Support teaching staff in implementing individualised education plans
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to student support
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's licence and clean driving record
  • Experience working with individuals with learning difficulties
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Education:

Minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Knowledge of safe driving practises and regulations
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training in special education or related field
Working Conditions:

This role involves working with students with varying learning difficulties and disabilities. The candidate will be required to provide transportation services. The ability to maintain a calm and supportive environment is essential.
