- Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
- Location: Chelmsford, Essex
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary
- Start Date: Immediate
- Salary: £14 per hour
- SEND Coaching: Assist learners in developing independence, communication skills, and decision-making abilities both within and outside the classroom.
- Academic Support: Provide tailored support to students, ensuring they have opportunities to work towards outcomes in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Personal Care Assistance: Support students with mobility, personal care, and moving and handling as required.
- Staff Training: Collaborate with staff to enhance understanding of SEND needs, including participating in training sessions and communicating effectively with curriculum and support teams.
- Understanding of how individuals learn and the ability to adapt support accordingly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to work with young people and adults with SEND.
- Good organizational skills, including maintaining accurate records.
- Experience working with individuals with SEND.
- Knowledge and understanding of EHCPs.
- All candidates will be required to undertake relevant training and professional development as needed.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service is preferred.
