Job Title: Level 3 or 4 AAT Accountant
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £23k - £27k + study support (depending on experience)
We are currently partnering with a well-established accountancy practice based in Cheltenham who supports a broad range of clients. As they continue to grow, they’re looking for someone who is motivated, organised and eager to develop within an accountancy practice.
About the role
In this full-time position, you’ll be working closely with the team on a variety of client-focused tasks. You will need to be currently studying towards your AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification and want to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out bookkeeping for a range of clients using cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assisting with payroll duties
- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Completing self assessment tax returns
- Supporting clients with Making Tax Digital
What they’re looking for
- You’re actively studying AAT Level 3 or 4
- You will have experience of working in an accountancy practice and be enthusiastic and ready to learn
- You have a solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic tax and payroll principles
- You’re confident using accounting software and be comfortable learning new systems
- You have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
