We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work on various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings. The Brick Mason will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, structures, and other masonry elements using bricks, stones, and concrete blocks. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to specifications and blueprints.
- Construct walls, arches, and other structures using various masonry techniques.
- Mix mortar and other materials as needed for construction projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to ensure project success.
- Perform repairs on existing masonry structures as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to masonry work.
- Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's licence is preferred for transportation to various job sites.
