Job Title:          Fire Risk Assessor  Type:                Temp (rolling)Location:          CheltenhamSalary:              NegotiableHours:               37 hours a week  BRC are working closely with a local authority in Cheltenham. As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing fire doors and their installations, primarily across communal areas and occasionally within residential properties. Your assessments will play a key role in ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and maintaining high safety standards across all sites.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out fire door inspections and general fire risk assessments
  • Evaluate the condition and compliance of fire doors and associated installations
  • Document findings accurately and make practical recommendations for remediation
  • Liaise with property managers, residents, and contractors as required
  • Ensure compliance with current fire safety legislation and industry standards
  Requirements:
  • Proven experience in fire risk assessment, particularly in communal and residential settings
  • Relevant fire safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Fire, FPA, IFSM, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and fire door standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
