Shift Details:

  • Work 12-hour shifts (2 days/2 nights followed by 4 days off)

Your Responsibilities:As a Slitting Operative, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of slitting machinery. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Safety First:

- Conduct safety checks on all equipment before operation.

- Report any defects immediately.

- Communicate safety concerns to the Slitting IC.

Maintain Cleanliness:

- Keep your work area tidy and organised.

- Ensure the area is free from waste and obstructions.

- Maintain equipment cleanliness for optimal operation.

Quality Control:

- Perform accurate tests and inspections.

- Control any off-spec materials to prevent defects.

- Report any quality defects promptly.

Efficiency Focus:

- minimise waste and downtime during slitting operations.

- Ensure reels are produced according to specifications.

- Prepare packing materials in advance.

Environmental Responsibility:

- Operate machinery to minimise environmental impact.

Team Player:

- Actively participate in problem-solving and process improvement events.

Documentation:

- Complete production checklists accurately.

- Record production data and finalise print reports.
