- Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary
- Full ownership of prepayments, accruals, journals, and month-end reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany recharges
- VAT returns, supporting audit, and year-end reporting
- Overseeing transactional finance processes (accounts payable / accounts receivable)
- Monitoring cash flow and producing weekly updates
- Producing regular reporting packs for directors and stakeholders
- Continuous improvement of reporting, systems, and controls
- Supporting the Financial Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and commercial decision-making
- Supervising and supporting junior finance team members
- Part-qualified or QBE with strong management accounts experience
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity or commercial business
- Strong working knowledge of accounting systems (SAP, Sage, Xero, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills and confident handling large data sets
- Comfortable communicating with non-finance colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Proactive, solutions-driven, and highly organised
- Able to balance day-to-day finance ownership with forward-thinking improvements
