Finance ManagerLocation: Hybrid – Cannock or CheltenhamSalary: £40,000–£50,000 (depending on experience)Contract: Full-time, Permanent We’re working with a growing, fast-paced business in the leisure and travel sector, looking to appoint a confident and hands-on Finance Manager to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys driving process improvement, and wants to play a key part in shaping the finance function as the business continues to grow. You’ll report into the Financial Controller and take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations, while also contributing to strategic reporting, business partnering, and commercial support across departments. Finance Manager Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary
  • Full ownership of prepayments, accruals, journals, and month-end reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany recharges
  • VAT returns, supporting audit, and year-end reporting
  • Overseeing transactional finance processes (accounts payable / accounts receivable)
  • Monitoring cash flow and producing weekly updates
  • Producing regular reporting packs for directors and stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement of reporting, systems, and controls
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and commercial decision-making
  • Supervising and supporting junior finance team members
Finance Manager Profile
  • Part-qualified or QBE with strong management accounts experience
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity or commercial business
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting systems (SAP, Sage, Xero, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and confident handling large data sets
  • Comfortable communicating with non-finance colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, solutions-driven, and highly organised
  • Able to balance day-to-day finance ownership with forward-thinking improvements
