About the Role
TeacherActive are excited to be working with a friendly, supportive secondary school in Cheltenham who is seeking a reliable, engaging, and committed Cover Supervisor for a long-term position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or anyone passionate about education to gain consistent experience in a single school — allowing you to build relationships, grow in confidence, and become an integral part of the staff team.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and motivating students to stay focused and engaged.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour and encouraging positive engagement
• Creating an inclusive, supportive atmosphere where students can thrive
• Working closely with staff and becoming a consistent presence within the school
• Developing valuable classroom experience for a future in teaching
About You
We’re looking for individuals who are:
• Confident, enthusiastic, and ready to take initiative
• Able to build quick rapport and motivate students
• Positive, adaptable, and calm in a busy school environment
• Passionate about supporting young people
• Experienced working with teenagers (schools, coaching, youth work, mentoring etc.)
• Looking for a long-term opportunity rather than day-to-day cover
