REED Financial Services are pleased to be representing an IFA firm in Cheltenham , who due to growth seek a career Paraplanner to join their team.

Salary depends on experienceFull Time Position - Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm - 37.5 Hours per week - Office based Benefits include, 28 days Holiday a year plus Bank Holidays so normally 36 days,  AE Pension Scheme, professional exam support.

About the Role:

They are seeking a dedicated Paraplanner to join our team, working closely with Financial Advisers to prepare recommendations and produce suitability reports. This role involves maintaining client records and ensuring compliance with company policy.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively handle queries from clients and other parties through clear communication.
  • Record all client communications, ensuring they are documented in line with company policy.
  • Collect and collate client information, ensuring compliance documentation is accurate.
  • Liaise with product providers and third parties to gather necessary information.
  • Obtain quotes, illustrations, and product details for analysis.
  • Prepare suitability letters and reports for approval by Financial Advisers.
  • Assist with administrative functions as needed, such as organising client meetings.
  • Commit to continuous personal development and keep knowledge up to date.

Team Support/Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with Financial Advisers and Paraplanners, providing support in their absence.

Education, Qualifications & Training:

  • Essential: Financial Services Experience and Level 4 Diploma equivalent
  • Desirable: Working towards qualifications in Taxation (J01), Trusts (J02), Pensions and Retirement Planning (R04), Investments (IMC), and other technical areas.

  • Proven Paraplanning experience
  • Understanding of the Financial Planning process
  • Ability to work within defined business processes

  • Strong prioritisation and planning skills
  • Detail-oriented and articulate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in maintaining good working relationships in financial advice services
  • Experience in writing complex and detailed reports
  • Ability to assess information and identify critical features
  • Ability to acquire and apply new skills and knowledge
  • Financial analysis and advice skills
