CheltenhamSalary: c. £45,000 - £50,000The role: Our client is seeking a proactive Process Engineer to join their Operations team in Cheltenham. In this permanent role, you'll drive optimisation across manufacturing processes, focusing on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. You'll play a key part in introducing new products and processes while reducing waste and supporting high-performance manufacturing.Key responsibilities:

  • Support daily process engineering across the whole team
  • Apply standardised tools like PFMEA, Control Plans, VSM, SPC and SOPs
  • Analyse process data to identify improvements and cost-saving opportunities
  • Drive process control, flow efficiency and waste reduction
  • Lead or support new product/process introductions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on lean initiatives and troubleshooting
  • Support audits, KPI reporting and annual improvement planning

About you:

  • Significant process engineering experience in a complex manufacturing setting
  • Skilled in lean tools such as Yamazumi, Time-Study (MOST), VSM, SPC
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Methodical, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Experience with APQP tools (PPAP, PFMEA, etc.), Lean manufacturing techniques (5S, SMED, etc.) and project management tools
