Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking to join a respected and forward-thinking law firm in Cheltenham?

We are working with a well-established, two-office firm in the South West with a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal services across residential and commercial conveyancing. They are now looking to appoint a confident and proactive Legal Secretary to support their busy conveyancing team in Cheltenham.

About the Role

As a key member of the property department, you will provide essential secretarial and administrative support to fee earners handling a varied caseload of residential property matters. The role involves client liaison, audio typing, file management, and assisting with the smooth running of transactions from instruction to post-completion.

Duties Will Include:

  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
  • Preparing contracts, completion statements, and Land Registry forms
  • Opening, managing, and closing client files
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage providers
  • Diary management and arranging appointments
  • Handling incoming calls and post on behalf of the team
  • Supporting compliance procedures and ensuring accurate documentation

What Were Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing/legal secretary role (essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid IT skills, including digital dictation systems and case management software
  • A proactive, team-focused attitude with a professional approach
