An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer at a unique technology start-up in Cheltenham.
The role involves taking ownership of hardware development for telecommunications and monitoring devices designed for harsh environments.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience and will be expected to work independently on greenfield projects with minimal supervision.
The position offers a salary of approximately £60,000 and requires skills in 3D CAD, thermal and stress analysis, and integration with software and electronics teams.
On-site presence in Cheltenham is required due to the collaborative nature of the role, although flexible hours are permitted.

This is one of a few brand new roles with an exciting and genuinely unique technology start-up company in Cheltenham. Theyare looking secure a Senior/Lead Mechcanical Engineer to take ownership of development of hardware fortheir range of products.

The company develop telecommunications and monitoring devices for harsh environments across the globe.

The role involves predominantly greenfield developmentwith very little (if any!) supervision so it's vital that you're able to work independently, problem solve and take complete ownership of the electronics/hardware development for the team.

ROLE: Senior Mechanical DesignEngineer

LOCATION:Cheltenham

SALARY:~ 60,000

Essential skills for the Senior Mechanical Engineer are:

3D CAD (any package considered) for products in harsh environments
Thermal and stress simulation and analysis tools (ANSYS etc)
Material, joinery, sealing selections
Integration with software & electronics teams
Thermal and non-destructive testing
Solid understanding of Project Lifecycle Manangement (PLM)

Due to the idea-sharing and R&D nature of the role, you will be required on-site in Cheltenham, although flexible hours and timings are allowed.
