Initial Education are looking to appoint passionate and highly motivated unqualified and qualified Teaching Assistants.

We are working with schools across Gloucestershire, providing them with day to day, short and long term cover, depending on the needs of the school and therefore will be looking for candidates who would like to work part time or full time hours.

Your role within the classroom, will be to provide support to the Class Teacher and work with the pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small intervention groups.

Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant is not essential, however we do ask that you have at least 3 months experience in an education setting or in a role that involves working with children.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils
  • To help promote independent learning.
  • To complete in-class observations and assessments
  • To develop study and organisational skills.
  • To liaise with the SENDCo where necessary
  • To help build the students confidence and enhance self-esteem.
