Job Title: Test Operator - Weekends

Location: Cheltenham

Duration: 12 months (temp to perm opportunity)

Base Rate: 17.20/hour Shift Rate: 22.36/hour

Shift Pattern: 3 day week - Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 12hr shifts

(Initially training will be Mon - Fri)

Role Summary:
Join our team as a Test Operator, responsible for setting up and running production tests on Top Level and Sub Level Avionics units. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and effective teamwork within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests including Vibration, ATP, and ESS on Top Level Units and Sub Assemblies

  • Accurately log failure data and assist in root cause analysis using FRACAS database

  • Set up and maintain test equipment according to procedures

  • Identify trends and causes to reduce future failures

  • Plan and manage shift activities to meet manufacturing and customer deadlines

  • Follow manufacturing plans, quality standards, and health & safety requirements

  • Participate in lean initiatives and support manufacturing delivery targets

  • Complete all required manufacturing paperwork and job cards

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions

  • Understanding of manufacturing test processes and business systems (TipQa, Proficy, Windchill)

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality work

  • Flexible, cooperative, and self-motivated with strong communication and time management skills

  • Experience working in self-directed teams

  • Awareness of health, safety, and customer/business requirements
