Projects Manager - The Role:
Reporting directly to the board, you’ll take full ownership of multiple, large-scale automation projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, fabrication, and assembly to keep everything on track — from initial scheduling through to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Key Responsibilities
- Set and manage daily/weekly milestones across multiple active projects.
- Plan resources effectively and monitor workloads to prevent bottlenecks.
- Control project budgets and proactively manage any overruns.
- Track and report KPIs, progress, and performance to senior leadership.
- Lead regular stand-up meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Oversee workshop organisation, quality control, and process improvements.
- Support FAT preparation, ensuring readiness for client visits and sign-offs.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage a motivated, efficient team.
- Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and project reviews.
Projects Manager - The Person:
- 5+ years’ experience in project management, ideally within engineering or manufacturing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple, complex bespoke projects concurrently.
- Strong competence with Microsoft Project and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Skilled in budget control, KPI management, and resource planning.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to change.
Located in Gloucestershire, this role would be commutable from Cheltenham, Worcester, Gloucester and Evesham.
